A bad bounce can be very demoralising. Often, after a bad bounce, we let our emotions take over when we hit our next shot.
When emotion is up intelligence goes down and we often make poor decisions and our swing reflects it – often making matters even worse.
Sound familiar?
As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed Lawrie Montague the former Australian Women’s coach and co-coach of the Indonesian Team at Joondalup Golf Resort, Perth, Australia, where he teaches us:
- Why it’s important to avoid being too ambitious after a bad bounce
- How to get in the right headspace for the shot
And …
- How to select the right club and avoid bringing in potential execution errors
Which will ultimately…
- Allow us to play the shot with more confidence and get to the green free of any more wayward shots.
