“Skinnying,” or “topping,” the ball is a mistake many amateur golfers make.
They only graze their shot, causing it to travel a very short distance.
As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed David Milne the two time PGA Teacher of the Year and co-coach of the Indonesian Team at Joondalup Golf Resort, in Perth, Australia, where he teaches us:
- How to check your ball position and make sure that it’s lined up effectively with your stance
- Why it’s important to control your upper-body during the shot
And…
- The importance of finding your “low-point” during your swing
Which will ultimately…
- Send the ball up into the air and improve the distance of your shots.
