Most golfers usually try to avoid hitting a cut shot because they are usually inconsistent and end up putting us on another fairway.
However, a proper cut (also known as a slice) can be an incredibly useful tool, particularly for getting a little more distance around those dog legs.
As part of Golf University’s weekly “Tip from the Pro” I videoed Richard Caiolfa the Head Golf Professional at Rich River Golf Club Resort in New South Wales where he teaches us:
- Why a cut shot (or slice shot) is not always a negative thing!
- Two ways to create the shot
And …
- A simple trick with a basket (or other object) to help us aim the club for the slice
Which will ultimately…
- Help us hit a good cut and get a little more distance around a corner
